How ticket setup works
Ticket types define what you offer to attendees for an event. An event can have multiple ticket types, each with its own name, price, quantity, mode, and validity rules.
Plan the ticket before creating it
Decide the ticket name, price, total quantity, ticket mode, and validity before you save the ticket type. These settings determine how the ticket is offered and used.
1. Open Ticket Types for your event
Open the Events section
From your organization dashboard, open Event and locate the event for which you want to create tickets.
Select Tickets
On the event card, select Tickets. This opens the Ticket Types page for that event.
Select + Add Ticket
On the Ticket Types page, select + Add Ticket to open the Add Ticket Type form.
2. Enter the ticket details
The Add/Edit Ticket Types form contains the main information for the ticket. Complete the fields according to the type of ticket you want to offer.
Ticket Name
Enter a clear name that identifies the ticket, such as a regular admission or another category you use for the event.
Price
Enter the price of the ticket. The ticket card displays the price in Indian rupees.
Total Quantity
Enter the total number of tickets available for this ticket type.
Ticket Mode
Select the appropriate ticket mode. The form shown uses Online.
Quantity matters
Total Quantity sets the available quantity for that ticket type. Check the number carefully before creating the ticket.
3. Configure Ticket Rules
The Ticket Rules section controls how long the ticket can be used. The form provides ticket validity options and additional settings.
Ticket Validity
Select the validity type from the available options. The form shown includes Day Ticket (Single Use).
Validity Days
Enter the number of validity days when applicable.
For example, 1 means the same day, while 3 means the ticket is valid for 3 days.
If this field is left empty, the system's default value is 1 day, meaning the day of purchase.
Fixed Date Range
You can set an optional start and end date range for ticket validity.
When a fixed date range is set, it overrides the validity-days setting.
Entry Time Restriction
The form provides an Enable Entry Time Restriction option. Use it when an entry-time restriction is required for the ticket.
Choose the validity rule carefully
Think about when attendees should be allowed to use the ticket before selecting the validity settings. Fixed dates take priority over validity days when both are set.
4. Create the ticket type
Review all settings
Check the ticket name, price, total quantity, ticket mode, and Ticket Rules.
Select Create Ticket Type
Select Create Ticket Type to save the new ticket type.
Ticket type created
The new ticket type will appear on the Ticket Types page for the selected event.
5. Understand the Ticket Types page
Each ticket type is displayed as a card containing its current status and important ticket information.
Active / Inactive
The ticket card shows whether the ticket is currently active or inactive.
Ticket configuration
The card displays information such as Online / Day or Online / Season.
Sold & Revenue
The card shows the number sold and the revenue generated by that ticket type.
Total
The card displays the total quantity configured for the ticket type.
Available ticket actions
The Ticket Types page shown provides actions such as Edit, Pause or Resume, and QR. The exact action available depends on the ticket's current state.
Pause and resume
An active ticket can be paused. An inactive ticket can display a Resume action so that it can be made active again.
6. QR Poster
The Ticket Types page also provides a QR Poster action at the event level. The generated poster can display the event information and a QR code that attendees can scan to access the ticket-purchase route.
Use the QR poster for promotion
Once your event and ticket setup are ready, the QR poster can be used as a simple offline promotional point for directing people to tickets.
