Learn how to create an event in TicketLine and enter the basic information needed to manage it and add tickets.

How event setup works

An event is the starting point for organizing your ticketing activity on TicketLine. Once an event has been created, you can use the event's available actions to continue with ticket setup and other event-related activities.

Start with accurate event information

Event details such as the title, venue, dates, times, and capacity describe the event. Check these details carefully before saving.

1. Open the Events section

Go to your organization dashboard

From the TicketLine organization dashboard, open Event from the Create section, or use the Events action available on the dashboard.

Select Add Event

On the Events page, select + Add Event to open the Event Create/Edit form.

2. Complete the event form

The Event Create/Edit form contains the main information for your event. Complete the fields shown on the form before selecting Save Event.

TITLE *

Title

Enter the name of your event. This is a required field.

CAMPAIGN

Campaign

Select the campaign associated with the event.

VENUE

Venue

Enter the venue or location where the event will take place.

START DATE

Start Date

Enter the date on which the event starts.

END DATE

End Date

Enter the date on which the event ends.

START TIME

Start Time

Enter the starting time of the event.

END TIME

End Time

Enter the ending time of the event.

CAPACITY

Capacity

Enter the event capacity shown in the form.

Check dates and times carefully

Before saving, review the start and end dates and times to make sure the event information is correct.

3. Save the event

Review the information

Check the title, campaign, venue, dates, times, and capacity.

Select Save Event

Select Save Event to submit the event form.

Event created

After saving, the event will be available from your Events page, where you can continue with the available event actions.

4. Understanding the Events page

After an event has been created, it appears as an event card on the Events page. The card provides a quick view of the event and its current activity.

STATUS

Published

The event card can display its current publication status, such as Published.

DATES

Event dates

The event card displays the start and end dates.

TYPES

Ticket types

The card shows the number of ticket types associated with the event.

SOLD

Tickets sold

The card shows the number of tickets sold for the event.

Available event actions

Depending on the event and its current state, the Events page can provide actions such as Tickets, Guest Passes, Edit, QR, and Unpublish.

Continue with ticket setup

Once your event is ready, the next step is to create the ticket types or passes that you want to use for it.

Event creation checklist

Before moving on to ticket setup, make sure you have completed the basic event information.

  • Event title has been entered.
  • Campaign has been selected.
  • Venue has been entered.
  • Start and end dates have been checked.
  • Start and end times have been checked.
  • Capacity has been entered.
  • The event has been saved successfully.
