Publish your event.
Start selling tickets.
Once your event and ticket types are ready, the next step is to make the event available and prepare your tickets for sale. This guide explains the basic publishing and ticket-sale workflow.
Make sure your event details and ticket types are correct. Publishing makes the event available to your intended audience, so it is a good idea to review everything first.
1. Make sure your event is ready
Start from your organization dashboard and open the Events section.
Find the event you want to make available and review its basic information.
2. Check your ticket types
Before publishing the event, open its ticket types and confirm that the tickets you want to sell have been configured correctly.
Check the ticket name, price, total quantity, ticket mode, and validity rules.
If a ticket type is not intended for sale yet, keep it inactive or paused until you are ready.
Event publishing and ticket availability
These are related, but they are not exactly the same thing.
Event
A published event is made available through TicketLine's event-facing workflow.
Ticket Type
An active ticket type is available according to its configured ticket settings and sale mode.
⚠ Keep this distinction in mind
Publishing the event does not mean that every ticket type must be available for sale. You can manage the availability of individual ticket types separately.
3. Publish the event
When the event information and ticket setup are ready, publish the event from the Events area.
Open Events
Go to the Events section from your organization dashboard.
Find your event
Locate the event you want to make available. Review the event card before proceeding.
Publish the event
Use the event's publishing control to make the event available.
Confirm the status
After publishing, the event should show a Published status on the Events page.
4. Make tickets available for sale
Once the event is published, review the ticket types associated with the event.
A ticket type can be managed independently. Check that the ticket you want customers to purchase is active and that its quantity and price are correct.
If you temporarily stop a ticket type, it can be paused and resumed later from the ticket-management screen.
💡 Check before promoting the event
Always make a test check of the public purchasing workflow before distributing the event link or promoting the event widely.
5. Promote the event
After the event is published, TicketLine provides a QR Poster option from the event area.
The QR Poster can be used to promote the event offline and allow people to reach the ticket-purchasing workflow by scanning the displayed QR code.
You can therefore use the published event both through its online presence and through printed promotional material.
If you need to stop the event temporarily
A published event can be unpublished when you no longer want it to remain publicly available through the TicketLine event workflow.
Before unpublishing, consider whether you need to stop the entire event or only manage the availability of a particular ticket type.
For ticket-level control, use the ticket type's Pause or Resume controls where appropriate.
